Geospatial Timelines

Geospatial events, such as observations of a subject in different locations, and displayed here using MapWeave, are common in investigations. But some events, like phone calls or emails may not be geotagged, and can’t be drawn on a map. By adding a timeline to your app, it becomes possible to show how these different parts of the story fit together.

Toggle different data sources using the legend, and zoom into the timeline to see the map update to reflect the time range in question.

  • Can you find the phone number the suspect called just after the 7-Eleven robbery?
  • Did these calls happen before or after the vehicle was found abandoned?
